Sovereign Hills
Library Kiosk

Sovereign Hills is a new residential suburb development on the outskirts of Port Macquarie. This project forms part of a central parkland being developed to help establish the growing community.

PEOPLE

The parkland area features play spaces, shelters, picnic table and landscaped areas as well as a temporary public library kiosk structure. The kiosk will be available 24/7 and people with a library card will be able to access a variety of fiction and educational reading material.

This playful structure is inspired by the chapters of  a book and houses a self-serve library kiosk machine and provides sheltered informal gathering and reflection spaces for the community. The self-serve mechanism adds to the modern technologies already operating within these regional libraries, such as purpose-built recording studios and virtual reality features.
