Brigidine College is a Catholic independent school for girls from Year 7 to Year 12, located in St Ives in Sydney’s North Shore. Mayoh Architects began work on this project before the education team joined Fulton Trotter Architects in mid-November 2024.
This project centres on the creation of indoor and outdoor sports courts, designed to serve multiple functions for the College. While the primary focus is on providing high-quality facilities for physical education and sports, the space is also intended to be a versatile, multi-purpose venue. It will accommodate a wide range of activities beyond athletics, including College Open Days, large lectures, exams, and other major events. The facility is equipped with multiple changing rooms and amenities to support various activities and user groups.

Additionally, office spaces are integrated for the PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education) and Sports staff, ensuring that the administrative and operational needs of the sports and health departments are met. This multi-functional approach optimises the building’s utility, ensuring it serves the needs of students, staff, and the broader College community across different programs and events.
The facility is designed not only for sports but also to serve as a flexible, multi-purpose space for a variety of College events, such as Open Days, large lectures, and exams. This adaptability ensures the venue supports both athletic and academic functions. The inclusion of multiple change rooms and amenities caters to diverse activities, while dedicated office spaces for PDHPE and Sports staff provide on-site administrative support, enhancing the operational efficiency of the facility.
