Quality Assurance

During 2006 Fulton Trotter Architects was upgraded from ‘Self Assessed’ accreditation to Third Party Quality Assured, complying with ISO 9001:2008.

Quality comes from knowledge and supervision. Fulton Trotter Architects has a serious approach to our Quality Systems, with regular monthly audits being conducted by our Quality Representative, to ensure that our systems are efficient and effective. A QA file is created for all of our projects and is used as a tool to monitor services provided and to test time against billings. The QA file contains a generic list of quality procedures and work plans.

Upon completion of each phase of a project, the Project Leader/Director in Charge sign off on the QA file prior to the next phase being implemented. This approach ensures that Design and Documentation processes occur in the correct order and that Deliverable Checklists for each stage, including Drawing Checklists, are being monitored frequently.

To assist with our quality monitoring our Directors and Associates work together in an open plan environment where we are surrounded by our staff. We believe this aids enormously in project communication and progress.
